Jan 19th evening, I should be at my cousin's place in Middleburg Virginia, about 40 minutes drive from the Vienna / Fairfax station, an Washington Metro orange line terminus. I plan to start driving very early in the morning about 3:30am or so.
Park the car at the metro ($4) and another 40 minutes journey into DC. Get off about a mile from the National Mall, at the Farragut West Metro station.
Perhaps stop for a small breakie somewhere. Then find a place on the National Mall. Watch on a Jumbotron screen.
There are only 300 000 or so spots for onlookers on the parade route. So may decide to head there soon after, or maybe instead of the National Mall. I am thinking of trying to get near 7th street, which seems to have easier access to jumbotron and parade spot
After the Parade, try to find my way to the Flickr meetup at Sova Expresso and Wine.
After that, back to a metro, then to the parked car, and back to Middleburg.
